They say everything is bigger and better in Texas.
So there is no doubt on why Texas Holdem is one of the biggest poker games.
Texas Hold 'em is a variation of the standard card game of poker.
The game consists of two cards being dealt face down..
To each player and then five community cards..
Being placed face-up by the dealer a series of three ("the flop")..
Then two additional single cards ("the turn" and "the river" or "fourth and fifth street" respectively), with players having the option to check, bet, raise or fold after each deal.
Because the cards are dealt randomly and outside the control of the players, each player attempts to control the amount of money in the pot..
Based either on the hand they are holding, or on their prediction as to what their opponents may be holding. Bottom line the objective of winning players..
Is not to win every individual hand, but rather to make mathematically and psychologically correct decisions regarding when and how much to bet, raise, call or fold.
A game with such mind power as the game of chess shows reason why its been adopted by the Hip Hop community and why Hip Hop's Artist are turning to the game.
Might as well go back and trade mark the name to Hip Hop Holdem. From Jay Z yes the Roc, to Biz Markie, Coolio, even Ed Lover, Tiger, and The Game.
We could sit here and name names all day it’s crazy who you'll see at the tables. No more sin city crap tables it’s all about Texas Holdem.
Out of the Lab and hitting the tables, these guys are taking no prisioners, they mean business. Jay Z is so passionate about Hold Em'
Back in 08’ he took his poker playing (intermediate) skills to the UK. Jay says he’s a great player but loosing a million makes me beg to differ.
On the other hand Lady Gaga can now get more revenue off her song Poker Face. All jokes aside though Poker is the new rant and rave talk.
I feel that some artist are turning to the table to either up their antiy in money or like the game of chess learn mathematical and psychological skills..
To help their thoughts in life or places such as the lab (studio). Then again some just want to play for fun. It's the digital age of Online Poker.
