Acclaimed jazz musician Marcus Miller has recruited Roots' drummer Questlove and Q-Tip to headline

an all-star benefit concert for Japanese tsunami relief. Proceeds from the star-studded concert will benefit the Japan Relief and Recovery Fund.

The extensive lineup of performers includes singer Raul Midon, pianist Robert Glasper, trumpeter Wallace Roney, saxophonist Alex Han and African singer Angelique Kidjo.

Miller, who has performed and released his music worldwide, says he was compelled to join the fundraising efforts because of his special connection to Japan.

"My heart goes out to the people of Japan who are suffering through the effects of the earthquake and tsunami," Miller said on his website.

"So many musicians like me have enjoyed the love and support of Japanese music lovers over the years. We're putting this show together to try to return some of that love and support in their time of need.

" Q-Tip will command some time on the mic, while Questlove will showcase his skills on the drums. Tip is currently producing the upcoming album from jazz artist Esperanza Spalding,

who took home the Best New Artist award at this year's Grammy Awards. The benefit concert will be held at Highline Ballroom in New York City on May 17, at 7:30PM. Advance tickets will cost $45.
