 Team So Real Presents Shaziik Da Soul controller Team so real is a close group of friends and family who share the same passion for making music. Originally from N j born in Hackensack and raised in Jersey City and East Orange.
Shaziik is the front runner or first artist to put an album out for the label and older brother of the founder and top producer of Team So Real. Shaziik started rappin at an early age because of the influences of older cousins who introduced him to professional recording studios back in “94”
when they were per suing a career in music at the time he became a part of a crew called Dark Reality which consist of many emcees. In that crew shaziik teamed up with a member to form the duo called soul controllers and began recording music and performing at local shows in Newport News Virginia
where he was sent to finish high school because of the trouble he was having growing up in East Orange New Jersey .Dark Reality and the Soul Controllers eventually parted ways because of the struggles of every day life trying to feed their families and make a career out of rap music.
Rah who is the founder of Team So Real revived the movement of dark reality by building his own recording studio and becoming a music producer.

Where did your name originate from? Its kinda cheesy but very monumental because of what I represent but it came from me trying to combine sean and unique in return you get shaziik
What is a typical day like for you? During the day it’s the 9to5 and at night its quality time with my fam and then music
Other then music what do you do to make that paper? I am a chef by trade who works as a lead cook for a small diner

When did you first become introduced to hip-hop? I was introduded to hip hop listening to dj red alert on 98.7 kiss fm back in the late 80s and also watching video music box with Ralph mcdaniels
Coming up who were your influences in music? Typical micheal Jackson earth wind and fire anita baker, luther vandross, sade, ericb and rakim krs1 big daddy kane , nas , nwa, mob deep etc.
What artists/people in your life intrigued you to get into the business? Honestly my younger brother who produces most of my records intrigued me to get in the business because he never stop believing in my talent. I can also name guys like ugk ,nas Damien Marley , the roots who inspire me to believe that balance can be restored to the rap game
How would you describe your style? Confident , witty ,versatile ,clever and honest
What artists are you currently working with? I am only working with members of team so real and local artist that we are affiliated with
Who would you enjoy to work with? Nas ,krs1, beyonce, black thought, eminem and the whole shady crew
Tell us about your current projects? My debut street album called no lies late spring early summer
What one reason would your fans say separates you from the norm? always the truth

What’s your formula, how do you come up with the concepts for your material? Based on the mood of the music and how I’m feeling at that moment
Where do you see yourself in the industry in the next 5 years? Blessed enough to have created a platform for other younger up and coming talent to have the resources to compete or even join the larger music machines (record labels) out there
Where do you see the industry in 5 to 10 years? Honestly don’t know
What final words do you have for our community and the prospects of hip hop? Keep being you don’t be afraid to be yourself and express who you are, start your own trends and never become a follower
