St. Peter was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. St. Peter's background is highly musically oriented.
Music played a major role in St. Peter's life from a very early age.
Peter began playing piano at the age of eight.
He then later moved on to drums, trumpet and at 14 had his first encounter with a sampler. St. Peter grew up in downtown Toronto, where he was heavily surrounded by the classic golden-age of hip hop.
At the brink between "old" and "new" era's emerging, Peter was blessed with a high understanding and appreciation for meaningful well executed hip hop.
Music became his passion, while working along side of an army of exceptional mc's, St. Peter continues to improve and sharpen his blade. His style is that of a more traditional-based producer. He believes strongly in a vision behind the art aswell as classic hard-hitting beats.

My sister, she gave me a will smith cd for my birthday i think i was around 12. she got me into a lot of stuff. She bought me a beastie boys album after that but i didn't like it much at the time. ive been around music ever since i can remember so it just branched off that.

Coming up who were your influences in music?
My father mainly. i started playing piano around 10, my pops played piano also in a band. later on when i started diving into other peoples music, wu tang was special to me. i bought the forever album before 36 chambers. that was the first album that blew me away. I got heavily inspired by that album.
What artists/people in your life intrigued you to get into the business?
In my last year of highschool i did a co-op class where i got to work in a studio. one of my first mentors Dj Efsharp showed me a lot about the business aspect of music. He taught me the importance of being organized as well as showing me it was possible to become successful if you work hard enough. From there i met a couple other people that i saw also active in the "business" and started working together. it grew from there.
How would you describe your style?
I try and find that place thats dark and light at the same time. I like beats that talk to you.
What artists are you currently working with?
I just finished a collabo album with Kdb of Crooks Of Da Roundtable. I did all of the production on it. Killah Priest, Vendetta Kingz, Unknown Mizery, King Phaze and others.
Who would you enjoy to work with?
Nas probably the most. theres tons of people though.
Tell us about your current projects?
I just finished a bunch of tracks for the new priest album PWOWR. were working on a album right now also, which hopefully will have some crazy visuals with it.
What one reason would your fans say separates you from the norm?
That depends on what u mean by norm. if you mean whats popular right now, what separates me is I stick to the foundation of hip hop. Things are always evolving and I incorporate that into my music but I tend to lean on the sampling, live instrumentation side of producing.

What would you say makes you different than the average producer?
Its really important that I actually produce the record. I like to work with artists that are flexible and see my vision. I take the time to really polish a record im a perfectionist in that sense. My strength isnt the best beats in the world, its being able to direct a song and visualize where it can go.
What's currently in your CD/MP3 player?
A lot of old music. im not as up on new shit as i could be but I love the random axe record, show & ag have some heavy shit coming out, new pete rock, Talib and Hi-tek album, new premier shit is heavy as always. Eminem and Royce, Jay electronica is crazy.
What’s your formula, how do you come up with the concepts for your material?
Just whatever inspires me. If I don't feel inspired by something it doesn't work. but beatwise I dig a lot, concepts usually comes from visuals or trying to build the perfect canvas for an artist to paint on. ill build it around their style and what I visualize when I hear them.
Where do you see yourself in the industry in the next 5 years?
In 5 years i hope to have mastered my sound and gain a respectable catalogue of music. i want to get into blending more visuals and other art-forms with music.
Where do you see the industry in 5 to 10 years?
Hopefully doing music for film. I'm trying to do something different then just another boom bap album after album. I wanna connect good conceptual shit with a innovative platform. There is a lot more creative freedom when you blend things like that. It doesn't have to be underground if you combine elements together.
If you had to choose one track that will have HipHop.Org readers hooked, which track would it be?
In terms of what I have released right now, gunz oil & drugs by hell razah.
Do you have any final words, shoutouts, etc for our community..?
