If hiphop was a publication then Brooklyn Native, Work, might be the journalist covering the story.

Advo just sent us a certified banger from this artist called "The State Of Hip Hop". All the elements for a dope record are there.

Today on this blazing scorcher of a day we are gonna chop it up with the Maryland resident and pick his brain.

Just when things were hot .... they just got hotter.

So ... It's pretty apparent juding by your new single that you think the "State Of Hip Hop" is not in good shape right now. Can you guys us in detail a few thinks you would want changed?

It’s Crazy because back in the day we use to be like “I wish Rappers made a lot of money and had limo’s and all that” and now you see with that comes a lot of BS music.

It’s Kinda like everyone sold their soul for that commercial hit and you know once money comes into play, that’s it, everybody starts jumping on the wagon . Even me.

One time this band needed a rapper to do NELLY hot in here and I was like hell no I aint spittin his raps and they said well we were gonna pay you $150. So I was like “GOOD GRACIOUS, ass is bodacious, flirtacious tryin to show patience. (Laughs)

Why is it in your opinion there is such a drastic change since the 90's with Hip Hop? Because once one wack rapper blew up. It made everyone feel like they can do it. But in the 90’s you had to be lyrical. The best decade for hip-hop period. No I'm gon say 1985-1995

Do you think this new generation of rappers will have timeless classics like they did in the 90's? Of course not.  No disrespect but the music is GARBAGE. And it keeps on getting garbager and garbager. Plus nowadays they spoiled. Its so much new shit that comes out you probably never hear it. Back then you had to dig not download.

Do you think making a song that is pointing the finger at these rappers will isolate you on the come up or strength you? Honestly, I don’t give a fuck anymore because I'm always getting looked over because I'm too cool, or I smile too much, I'm not threatening enough, I never shot nobody, my feet are too big its always something so we strictly for our fans all 10 of em.

When did you finally reach the boiling point and said .. "I got to do something about this? When I heard the beat by REG RUCKUS it told me what to say. I never really get too personal with my music cause its fun to me but shit has gotten out of hand and people don’t understand why I aint a superstar yet, but they don’t  know the business of music either.

Is there an album or a mixtape this song is off of?
YES! I'm working on a mixtape called "RESPECT MY PRANKSTER." It’s mad hard but funny at the same time. Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a clown, So that’s always gonna reflect in my music but I'll chew the ears off these wack MC’s so I can be a clown if I want to and that’s being serious.

What's the second single looking like? Any remixes to this record?
Man. I got a joint called "THE MOST INCREDIBLE" (Produced by BILL BLASS) that everybody want me to push but I'm stuck between that and "I HATE MECHANICS," that joint is sick.

Is Full Stereo a group and a label?
No Full Stereo is the Label. THE UNDAGROUND’S FAVORITE RECORD LABEL. My first album It’ll all pay off  went  4x FLATINUM and every joint after that went GOLD I mean FOLD.

Who came up with the idea for Full Stereo?
It was Me, Smallz, Rafool, and Majestic known as BUTTA VIBES about a week after we started rappin I got us an interview on college radio. I told them not to act up. Well as soon as Smallz touched the mic he started a beef (laughs). He like ya don’t want it with us. I said son we are rappers not gangstas I'm going solo (laughs) and started Full Stereo, but those are my brothers we talk everyday.

What is the full roster of Full Stereo?
2 artists  “WORK” and "D’COY" and  4 producers. SIR-K, REG RUCK, TODD BAKER and BILL BLASS.

Your song still has that grimy real lyrical spit similiar to New York hiphop. Do you think that living in Maryland now the people who surround might not be able to relate to it?
No, actually they lovin it because I let them decide which one I should push and that’s what they chose. They think they LA Reid. That’s cool but if it don’t make any noise I aint neva listening to them again.

What do you miss about NY and what do you like better about living in Maryland?
I miss the corner stores and the basketball courts. But I like the cost of rent in MD better. You should see my crib I got a 2 bedroom mansion out here.

Other then rapping what else is on your agenda for the music bizz?
I'm an actor. I been in movies and T.V sitcoms such as the Dave Chappelle show so that’s what I really wanna do next. Cause they never really let me talk in the movies they just use me for my good looks, They say that I’m Eye candy for the women.

Here at HipHop.Org we like to ask our features some questions that really are out of the norm. We do this because it gives the fans a broader outlook on you.  So lets get it cracking ....Is Worldstarhiphop.com good for hiphop or bad?
Them niggaz wont even let me pay to put one of my videos on their site. They think im the wackest thing to hit the scene son. And ya know the type of shit they post on that site. So I just take it and keep movin. But I still look at it cause its addicting sometimes looking at that dumb shit.

Should Congressman Weiner resign after his twitter scandal?
He should of resign when they named him WEINER.

Are you mad President Obama extended the Patriot Act?
No, I'm mad he got more 360 waves in his head than me. What kind of grease he use.

Whats Works favorite food?
I like to eat coochie with macaroni and cheese.

Outside of music what does Work to do make that paper?
I'm a licensed audio engineer and a licensed celebrity master barber. Matter of fact I just cut Ashy Larry last Friday, that’s my man. I got a small shop and studio so I stay busy and I started a middle man business called “I know who got that” (laughs).  I also cook at Michaels Café, I'm the salad chef there.

Back To The Norm.......
Name 1 song you've done that will have the HipHop.Org viewers hooked!?  "THE STATE OF HIP-HOP"
