Nick Nemesis was born April 19th 1991 in Brandywine hospital Coatesville, PA. He grew up in the area of Downingtown and West Chester PA a typical Philly suburb. His father committed suicide when he was only 3 years old and he was left with just his mother and half brother. At the age of 5 he was diagnosed with Hypertrophiccardiomyopothy (heart disease) and since has bin on several medications and survived many risky operations and surgeries.

As well as his health condition declining he also faced several events in his life which most don’t have to go through in there childhood. Thorough it all he managed to keep his love for music and even discover his talents as a rapper/writer. He started taking his career seriously at the age of 13 along with his close friend Blak Spyda the 2 began writing songs and seeking out studio time. Several years of hard work and grinding as well as dropping several mixtapes came his first break into preforming. He started out at local coffee shop Fennarios with the help of fellow rapper and friend VOSS.

Since then you are able to catch Nick Nemesis at Fennarios, West Chester University, and even The Note in West Chester on almost a regularly basis. Another break came for him when Tha Advocate heard his songs and placed him on the Digital Dynasty mixtape series blasting Nick Nemesis all over the internet boosting his buzz tenfold.

Also grabbing a collab with Street Fam rapper and Fabolous’ close friend Freck Billionaire under his belt only helped build his reputation in the Philly area. Recently he opened up for rap superstar Lloyd Banks at Crocodile Rock Café in Allentown, Pa and dropped his newest mixtape Sidetracked Vol. 1 which has over 1,000 Facebook likes. If he continues with his extreme dedication and determination things only look good for Nick Nemesis.


Today we are chilling it with a new up and coming rapper named Nick Nemesis.  For starts where did the name come from?

Well Nick is my goverment name and Nemesis basically comes from being an arch nemesis aka always one step ahead of you.

Dude lets be real... you have one hell of a struggle. Where to start..... ok for starts how has knowing your father committed suicide effected you as a person and a recording artist today?

I think it exposed me to how harsh the world can be at a young age which wasn't good back then, but it helped me mature alot quicker and realize things aren't as sweet as people make them out to be. As an artist it pushes me to keep going cuz I never wanna be put in that position were that is my only option so it bascially is the fuel to my fire.

Do you have any harsh feelings towards him?

yes and no.

As far as your heart disease condition ... how are you in 2010? is everything stable?

I guess I'm as good as I can be (laughs).  Just taking it day by day but who knows what tommorow will bring.

It's hard to imagine almost going through all types of risky operations and surgeries ... do you have any songs talking about what you went through?

Not too many I dont put it out there all crazy, cuz I dont want that pity love...cuz if I didnt tell you I had heart disease or been through all that you would NEVER notice.

Why hiphop? What about this culture and music made you channel yourself into it?

I grew up with it. I didn't have the greatest childhood or life at that matter so I could relate to everything rap/hip-hop spoke about like being rich in a sense of enjoying all the music and fun times with your friends and family even if you had no material things.

Are you still good friends with Blak Spyda?

He's like my brother. Enough said.

Being on Digital Dynasty and opening for Lloyd Banks is no small accomplishment .... what's next?

WORLD DOMINATION! (heavy laughs) sike, nah. I just hope I can keep up with the same momentum putting out good music working with dope artists performing all that!

Do you want a major label or an Indy?

Whichever alows me to live off my music and keep full creative control of my work.

How would you describe your style of hip-hop?

I pride myself on being versatile when people see a new Nick Nemesis song I want them to not know what to expect. i wanna always come with something new and orignal. Club Lyrical Hype Deep Emotional etc.. all types of tracks I can do and will do.

Who are your favorite rappers in 2010 .. and why?

I like everyone in my camp, Deific Inc, and as for major artists...im gonna say Budden, J Cole, Drake (sometimes) (laughs) and alot of other new school cats.

On "Dumb Out" it had you rapping on a "2nd round knockout" type of symphony. In 2010 its hard to hear classic production like that. What made you want to use that type of foundation for your record?

I will go on ANY BEAT as long I feel its dope...I think that helps me stay versatile.

Wow...I didnt even hear about this, but fuck it, I believe in that shit! (laughs)

What do you think of B.E.T.'s top 10 list?

I dont really get into all those lists because it all comes down to everyone having there own opinion and who is to say there opinion is better then others? YEAH! (laughs)

Tell us about a hidden talent you have?

I'm pretty untalented unless it comes to rap or writing! (Laughs)

Are you more of a Black Thought, Beanie Sigel or Wiz Khalif type of fan ..when it comes to Pennsylvania artists?

My favorite outta these would have to be Black Thought, but I eefinatley like all of them and respect all of there grinds...PA ALL DAY!
