Young Siege (Cameron Sanders) was born on August
5th 1995 in Auburn NY. This young man has been performing
since the tender age of eight. He picked up
the microphone at the Sheldon Institute at SUNY
Oswego’s summer camp and has been amazing audiences
with his talents ever since. His songs and style
are inspired by rappers like Tupac Shakur, B.I.G, and
Drake to name a few. Young Siege’s message is one of a very positive nature. “I just want to show kids that there are many sides of

Tell our readers, where you’re from.. What’s your home-state, country ? Auburn Upstate, NY USA
Where did your stage name originate from ? My initials are CJ so my mom always called me Siege.
What is it like for you as an artist day to day typically ? Busy, I write allot so I'm always in studio laying down tracks and keeping up with traveling and performing.
Other than music what do you do to pay the bills ? Music is all I have it does well for me as a 16yr old. I do OK.

What are some of your hobbies and extracurricular activities you enjoy ? I Don't really have anything other music, I feel if I don't put everything I have in this I wont go far
What year did you first become introduced to hip-hop ? In 2002, I was 6 years old when I first started listening to my favorite artist NAS, I guess you can say I was my first taste of Hip-Hop
Coming up as an artist what emcee's influenced your music and intrigued you to pick up a mic and hit the booth and stage ? Like I said NAS and of course B.I.G, these guys have been the most influential on me
What artists and people in your life enticed you to get into this business? My manager DC (Darryl Clark) is my main mentor in this business, he saw something in me when I was 12 yrs old, ever since then he’s always pushed me to grow as an artist to learn the business of music.
How would you describe your presence in the studio when your laying down tracks, do you consider yourself versatile when it comes to a wide range of styles, or do you stick to a certain method when it comes to your delivery and execution ? I think I'm pretty versatile when Im in studio, I don't use a lot of different methods. Most of the time I just go with however a record makes me feel.
What Artists, Disc Jockeys, and Producers are you currently working with? I work with a Producer I met in New York, out of New Jersey by the name Rob Grimaldi. He's young like me so it’s easy to vibe with him.
If you had the pick of any artist(s) to spit a 16 bar verse on a collaborative track what artist(s) would you choose and why ? Nas of course, I think it would be humbling just to be in the same room as him, he is one of the greatest story-tellers of all time, I would learn so much from him.
Tell us about your most recently released project and your current project that's in the works, when is it set for release and what agencies are you choosing for promotion and distribution ? I just dropped a an EP called ''Comin Up" available on Itunes
What one reason would your fan base express that separates you from the normal mainstream recording artist ? I think they would say that its cool that I actually have two different fan bases, kids can listen to my music but also adults can listen and rock out to it also.
What was your most recent gig / show, what shows do you currently have lined up ? Just doing spot dates waiting to get on tour right now, I love to be on stage.
What's currently in your iPod / Android / Mp3 Player play list ? Alot of Nas, Drake, Jcole, Biggy and Lupe fiasco stuff like that
What’s your formula when you come up with the concepts for your tracks, when you hit the studio do you record your material off the top or do you use notes as a reference? . I write my music on a blackberry but I dont really have a formula I just go with how the beat makes me feel.
Where do you see yourself and your career in the industry in the next 5 years ? In 5 years I think I’ll be on billboard top 100. I have alot of faith in myself and the team behind me.
Where do you see the industry in 5 years ? You never know with the industry now a days, so I would be lying if I said I have a prediction of where the game will be in that time period. Im sure going to do my part to help make sure Hip-Hop stays on top
If you had to choose one track that will have HipHop.Org readers hooked, which track would it be ? “Comin' Up”, everyone can relate to this record, we are all on a come up in some way shape or form.
