Corey James aka Corey Black started chasing his music dreams in the end of 2005. With countless features and collaborations Corey has managed to keep his grind in full sail through out the years.

In the summer of 2010 Corey landed on 12 city "Black College Tour" which featured the "Magic City Classic". With all the hard work put into his underground grind, Im sure Corey Black is ready for the major leagues.

Set to release a new mixtape in March of 2011 titled "Trunk Hustle" followed by his long awaited sophmore release titled "Over Qualified Under Priviledged"

music insiders should prepare

for Corey to emerge on the scene with ambition and drive. http://artistecard.com/coreyblackface Matthew Brock aka Bullet Brak has been blazing the underground scene for years.

After a short hiatus where he acquired his diploma (with honors) from I.A.R. (Institute of Audio Research, Grenwich Village, NYC) for audio engineering, music production, and music business. Bullet also fully developed and broadened his horizons with his musical talent. Bullet is now ready to hit the National Circuit full blast this year.  After performing and and captivation crowds across the country, it is plain to see "Bullet Brak is a problem".

Today HipHop.org has the honor of kicking it with two artists who are branding there names all over the map with there mixtape appearances, making good music, and touring all over the US. Straight from DMV we are kicking it with Corey Black and Bullet Brak. Get your seat belts fastened this is gonna be a good one.

Where did you guys come up with your artist names?

Corey :
My real name is Corey. My mother liked the name, the streets named me Black and thats self explanatory.

Bullet:
Bullet's are knowledge and your ammo in life. BRAK means Bury Rappers After Killin ... so Don't let life pass you by.

For those that don't know can you let us know what IC Entertainment stands for as an abbreviation, and what it represents as far as a hiphop label?

Bullet:
IC stands for "Instant Classic's" and thats what I believe we make. Corey Black will explain the rest...

Corey :
As far as a hiphop label we represent general good music. I'm one to listen to just about everyone and we are just different from the norm.

We have two different styles and our approach to the game is just different. You have to be willing to put that foot work in really grind and thats what we do at I.C.

Bullet ... how do you think going to IAR has helped you so far in your hiphop journey?

Bullet:
It was a very worth-while experience, IAR offers top notch information matched with top notch staff and instructors. I have stayed connected with many people from IAR and built strong bonds with people in the music industry that are priceless. Where else can you learn from the best like Sam Skaf, Gary Fritz, Tony Collins and then get career guidience from Jody Dobson. I've been mixing and producing my own music since 2003, but IAR took it 10 levels up!! It also sharpened my business mind by giving me all the knowledge available.

I.A.R. The Institute of Audio Research     http://www.audioschool.com  check it out, it's worth your while.

Do you still produce and engineer with the skills you gained from IAR, or is it strictly ripping the mic now?

Bullet:
Everyday, IC Studio's provides all of your mixing and mastering needs. If I can put out a song that sells 100,000 copys/downloads, my company see's profit off the initial sale, I can charge more for verse's and shows, and the mixing and mastering rates rise. It's a win win move, one hand wash the other type thing.

Corey you dropped a new mixtape called "Trunk Hustle" .... what do you feel seperates this mixtape from all other stuff out there?

Corey :
Well to be honest I can't really classify the project as a "mixtape". Only because I use original material, by me producing alot of my
material I can release it how I want to. The first single off 'Trunk Hustle" titled "Trunk Hustle" is available now online. So the only thing that separates mine from the other "mixtapes" is I can sell mine digital and physical copies including download cards.

Bullet .. we first caught you making appearances on some classic Digital Dynasty mixtapes. We were wondering when you are going to drop your personal mixtape ?

Bullet:
Big up to Advo for that.  I currently have 3 mixtapes, "The Invasion" EP and new single up on www.theofficialicentertainment.com . I'm releasing "Handlin Biznezz" this spring on the way towards a nationwide push this summer.

When we first heard about a record from Corey Black called "Over Qualified Under Priviledged" alot of questions came to mind ... for starts .. is it safe to say the title represents people of struggle stuck in the system?

Corey :
Yeah its very safe to say the title represents people of struggle in all walks of life. In todays world with the economy
and everything there's alot of people who are over qualified and under priviledged. What used to be so called "middle class America"
face the same struggles of unemployment just like everyone else. So the title came from the common person feeling like their qualified to
for the job but do to our being under priviledged we have to work harder to obtain the same goal.

Also do you think things have gotten easier or worse for people in the ghettos in 2011?

Corey :
Well basically I would say yes they have gotten worse. We always had a problem with the employment rate in the projects before, but now
within the last few years the numbers are crazy. Which leads to violence in the community, because of mere survival tactics.
So we are faced with youth who can't find jobs and no means to provide, which only builds the "By Any Means Necessary"
mentality. Basically from when I was a kid to now hoods are far more dangerous then they were just because of the times we're living in.

Can you let us know about some of the type of music on that record? Any crazy concepts or production on there?

Corey :
Like I said the record is basically for everybody so your gonna get a little of everything. We leaked a song called "Enemies Close"
that we shot a quick video for that was a story based record. I tried to reach out to all walks on this project, hopefully I left no stoned unturned.
The production we kept it all in house, like I said I produce majority of my records then we have B9'z one of the best producers out.

We know you guys have some big things planned for 2011. It is almost like an open field because not too many people are bubbling from the DMV area right now. Do you think that helps or hurts you guys as artists?

Bullet :
Helps. The reason I say it helps is because, here at I.C Ent. we are not one dimensional. Plus besides being recording artist we also
take care of the business aspects along with our own mixing and production. Hurts. The reason for this is, lack of support among other artists and
local radio in the immediate area. But at the end of the day we own our music and are able to broaden our market worldwide from the DMV. It
doesn't really matter where we're located.....We're Winning!! -Bullet Sheen

Corey :
I pretty much agree with you, it is like an open field so I guess we're running for the touchdown. Seriously, Bullet pretty much said it all
because I just feel we are different. The DMV is not what defines our music.

Give us a sneak peak into some future projects from IC Ent?  Let us know what we are in store for?

I.C Ent :
We have a few major projects geared up for summer releases. We have Bullet's "Biznezz Iz Boomin" dropping in 2011. Also we
have Corey's sophmore project "Over Qualified Under Priviledged" later in the year. All of the projects are being kicked off by I.C Ent's
early June release of "Hello 2 My Haterz". This is a single featuring I.C Ent. hit making roster.

What is the full roster of IC Entertainment?

I.C. Ent :
Bullet Brak and Corey Black are the flagship artists. We currently are working with a few new artists while still searching for talent.

Bullet Brak can you let the public know about the "Ba$h Brotherz" ?

Bullet:
The "Ba$h Brotherz" consists of Bullet Brak and Big Ox. The "Ba$h Brotherz" album titled "On The Move" is on the IC Entertaiment label. Big Ox is bubbling right now getting ready for the summer and I'm doing the same.  Big S/O to Big Ox.

On The Move:

Who were your influences to get into music?

I.C. Ent :
We were influenced by all the bad artist stories of record label mishaps. Which made us take our careers in our own hands.

How would you describe your style of hip-hop?

Bullet :
I would describe my style of hiphop more underground lyricist than anything. Yet still being original and creative.

Corey :
My style of hiphop is more agressive street music. But I also have the ability to write all types of music.

Here at HipHop.org we like to ask our features some questions that really are out of the norm. We do this because it gives the fans a broader outlook on you.  So lets get it cracking ....

What would you consider the livest 3 cities in the United States?

Bullet :
NYC, MIA, PHX.

Corey :
Baltimore, Detroit, Chicago

Even though that crazy earthquake happened all the way over in Japan.... how does that effect you as a hiphop artist(s) ?

I.C Ent :
Our prayers go out to the families affected by this tradegy.

Do you think Hip Hop is too commercial and needs to focus on the problems of the world a little bit more?

I.C Ent :
Yes, but not only the hiphop community. We all must focus more on the problems of the world.

Who's greatest hits would you rather bump ... Jay Z,  2pac or Biggie?

Bullet :
Biggie

Corey :
Pac

Back To The Norm.......

Name 1 song you've done that will have the HipHop.org viewers hooked!?

I.C Ent :  "Geeka Rap" ft Bullet Brak & Corey Black .. This track will be released April 5th 2011.

Thanks for hollering at us and in closing give any shoutouts....links to your sites....F.U.'S or whatevers clever?

I.C Ent :
Big Shouts to the whole city of Annapolis, Advo aka Tha Advocate, HipHop.org, DB and La La of P.E, 3 Star & The Star Throne Family, I.A.R. and everyone who supports our movement!!!!
