B. McCoy AKA. Beama born Brandon Cassidy McCoy was born in Chicago, IL on September 2nd 1989. Growing up with 8 siblings, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. He started rapping when he was 10 years old on the corner of 59th and Parnell, Southside of Chicago. After realizing he wasn’t as much of an athlete like most of his friends. Brandon vowed to become the best rapper in his neighborhood.

Brandon’s biggest influence came from watching his mother stuggle to take care of 8 kids and the household. She would wake up every morning at 5:30 am to take the train from the Southside to the Northside for work. B. McCoy found out how powerful his words could be when he entered in a freestyle talent show in highschool.

After that first talent show Beama was receiving many praises and love from the other student’s and he knew at the time what he wanted to do with his life. Beama has been going back and forth from Chicago to California in hopes of getting his name bigger. Beama linked up with a Production Team out of California MCF Productions. They have been working on new music for him that is sure to touch the world in a short time to come.

B. McCoy musical influences are of course Kanye West, Twista, Jay-Z, Outkast, and the Diplomats.

Where did you choose the name B McCoy?
1st initial of my first name and my last name.

How has linking MCF productions helped your career journey? Man it has elevated everything about my career. My lyrics, my confidence everything. The tracks they give me are incredible. MCF Productions La and Cheo is my brothers.

Where was it harder to live ..the mean streets of Chicago or the mean streets of California? Its a struggle everywhere so it don't matter. Its a cold world out here.

You noted Kanye West, Twista and Jay Z as inspirations ... no offense but how come not the Pac's or Biggie's most people talk about? When Pac and Biggie was out I was real young. Of course I heard their music but I'm only 21 years old. I didn' get into their music until about 2000 and Pac is dope as hell. They are both legends i'd love to have the careers they had.

Living with a big family must mold you into a man early. We saw on another interview you said your dad wasn't around. How come most hiphop artists grew up in a single parent home? Its the system, it's the world that most of us come from. The 80's did alot of damage to the black community. Its not just HipHop it seem like its damn near most of the people that come from the hoods of America

Kanye West been singing tons of new artists to his label G.O.O.D. music. As a chicago artist does it bother you he didn't sign any one from Chi-town?
It don't matter I feel like artists got to prove that they belong on G.O.O.D. Music. It takes alot of hard work and dedication. It don't bother me at all. I'm out here working.

How would you describe your style of hiphop? My style of hiphop is classy wit alot of soul.

Are you on a record label? No, wit MCF Productions right now. We working right now MCF got heat an we putting together great music

When is your EP "Dreaming" going to drop? Sometime in the late 4th quarter. It's gone be a great Christmas gift.

Is snitching in hiphop blown out of proportion?
I don't know, shit I don't want nobody snitching on me.

What is B McCoy's definition of snitching? Telling on somebody else to better your situation.

5 years from now ... where is B McCoy? 5 years from now best selling hiphop artist of the year for 2015.

Here at HipHop.org we like to ask our features some questions that really are out of the norm. We do this because it gives the fans a broader outlook on you.So lets get it cracking ....

Is organized religion bullshit?
To each his own, I make music for everybody.

If you could work with any artist ..who would it be and why? Kanye West, because the dude is soulful..He represents what hiphop is really about to me.

If you had the power to ressurect one dead rapper ..who would it be? Pac because I feel like he was telling us more of the truth than anybody else. He was a leader and we need that right about now.

Back To The Norm....... On your song "Changes" .. you really went in. Something that most people don't see nower days in music. Do you think something like that will black ball you being everyone wants to make dumbed down music? No, because my music has a groove to it. It's understandable for everybody from elementary to adulthood. It's simple enough music for the soul. Its for the people hopefully they will love me for that instead of blackballing me. (laughs)

Thanks for kicking it with HipHop.org ..the floor is yours .. any shoutouts .. links ..etc? Shout out to MCF Productions hottest in the game rigtht now. Shout out to HipHop.org and shoutout to all the people that stay bumping my shit in the streets! ? ?
