A-Pinks is the latest phenomenon straight from the streets of New York.

This twenty-one year old lyricist from Ravenswood’s Projects, Queens NY, is ready to take the rap game to the next level.

Writing since the age of fourteen, A-Pinks is not the everyday run-of-the-mill-wannabe-gangsta.

This talented young man is really bringin’ it to the industry. His rhymes come across bumptious, but his lyrical style back up the cocky attitude.

A-Pinks gives off energy like no other lyricist in the game. He is extremely charismatic with his style and his words are captivating. A-Pinks sees the big picture... Tune in.

He’s not just living for the day, and he is focused on the future. A-Pinks is focused and ready for any challenge that comes his way. He has put in the hard work and is redy to rise above the rest.

Highly capable of rubbing elbows with NY’s premier fire starters, Ravenswood Projects’ own is confident in his ability to outshine anyone bar for bar on a higher level.

With his DeadArm team assembled, moves are being made and ground is being conquered through dedicated promotion and a tireless work ethic.

This young MC has been recently written about in Source’s Unsigned Hype, Vibe, AllHipHop, Nobody Smiling, Sixshot and numerous other music media.

He has appeared on Sirius Satellite Radio’s SHADE 45, and Mixtapekings Show, The Mad Chipas MixtapeTV Show (NYC), and SMACK DVD Magazine (KOCH).

His songs have also been hosted by and on DJ Whoo Kid, P-Cutta, Kay-Slay, Custmaster C and DJ Envy’s mix tapes. While hungry for more, A-Pinks’ mesmerizing style will continue to dominating the mix tape industry with his poignant streetwise critique of the streets and his experiences.

Once the world gets a hold of A-Pinks, things will never be the same.

What is the significance of your name? Well, simply put, A. Pinks is on play on my given name Adrien Pinkard, it is probably the least innovative decision of my entire hip-hop existence. I saved my energy for the records...

When did you first become introduced to hip-hop? Being a child of the 80's, I was naturally born into the culture. Growing up in a New York City Housing Project(Ravenswood) doesnt  hurt either. It's been around hovering forever, but the first record I remember vividly is Onyx-"BackDaFucUp"; He used to have that shit on repeat like the tv didnt work.

What artists/people in your life intrigued you to start emceeing?
It's funny when I have to answer this question because interviewers tend to look at me like I got three heads. I didn't really have the honor of being alive or alert for arguablly the greatest artists of all time; interestingly enough i hadn't started studying hip-hop until like the year 2000. The first album i ever listened to intensly was probably the Dynasty Album:Roc La Familia. That was around the time I was entranced in what people could do with words. So instead of having influences like Kane, Rakim and KRS, I cite Jay-Z, Beanie Sigel, Nas, Eminem....

How would you describe your style?
Honestly, I've got to be the most scatter-brained writer ever, so I often tend to stray from a definitive style. As I grow though, and hone my craft I'm learning how to become a more effective message sender. I would say that time in and time outI give you all of me. If to give it a title I'd say I was a "perceptive' rapper. I'm more analytical than anything, so you
can expect to hear that from with an uncut edge.

What artists are you currently going to be working with? I've done records with Ras Kass, Ya Boy, Big Lou, Sha Stmuli, Esso...each song is significant because each time the chemistry is different.

Who would you enjoy to work with?
Idealistically, I'd love to work with all the greats such as Outkast, Jay-z, Kanye..even to the Stevie Wonders and Michael Jacksons. Really anybody that add to my level of creativety to make the best music possible
Tell me about your current projects, when's your album drop? I dont have a definitive album release date, currently I'm working on a EP thats out of this world, you got a oxygen mask with every cd I Promise! With tracks like "Merry Go Round" exploring the mind of womanizing twenty-something and "Manhood" addressing the current of the man in the black community...you can anticipate something extremely special.

Who is doing the production?
When it comes to recording I don't discrminate as far as producers are concerned. As of lately, I've been working closely with Frequency, Versatile, Matheo and Unkown. The things these dudes are coming up with incredible though,
I'm willing to venture for the sake of the art.

Who are your favorite producers?
As forementioned, currently Frequency and Versatyle are beating niggas in the head right now.

What producers would you like to work with?
I would like to work with C-lo, Dre, Kanye, Just Blaze-each party can bring a different element that would spice up my catlog something serious.

What one reason would you give your fans, to go out and buy your album?
I can put anything on it, that you've never heard anything like it. I pride myself in being able to provide quality, original music that can stand on its own and make an impact on the audience that will leave a heavy impression.

Will you be doing any touring? What shows/events are you going to wreck? Well I have some college performaces in the near future,
the UMA's is coming up on August 12th (Vote for Me!..http://www.hiphoppalace.com/pages.cfm?ID=633&CFID=1090171&CFTOKEN=93056127 & http://www.hiphoppalace.com/pages.cfm?ID=636&CFID=1090171&CFTOKEN=93056127 )

What would you say makes you different from the average MC?
In my opinion, my approach is essence of my artistry. My perspective is all that sets me apart from everyone else. If everyone saw things the same way, the music in turn would be quite similar. Especially in
these when everyone seems to talk about the same thing. Theres absolutely no variety, if you cut on the radio it seems like every artist is the same person. Who's not a pimp, a hustler and gun buster all at the same time. I can only convey messages through being myself so thats exactly what I'm gonna do.

What emcee's do you currently listen to?
I keep something out of the norm in my
headphones. Right now in the car I got Gym Class Hereos(crack!), Corrine Bailey-Rae, Lil' Wayne mixtape, Joell Ortiz, John Legend, ad of course myself. I try to absorb a fair share of different genres. I'm not just a rap fan, I'm inspired by any kind of good music.

What's your formula, how do you come up with the concepts for your songs?
I go off pure emotion. You can ask anybody that knows me personally might be out with me somewhere, and I drift off for like a half hour into a zone to create a piece. I'll just start talking to myself in the middle of the street.....fuck yall for walking all fast in front of me(lol.) I worry about the compistion after a solid base is formed. In the studio is where the glaze is spread.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years in hip-hop?
I could see myself pioneering the ship, but then again so can every other aspiring artist. Who knows what will happen, I don't really like to speculate...I'll let the fans tell it.

Where do you see hip-hop in 5 to 10 years?
I see the innovaters re-taking the game and bringing it back to point of intrigue for everyone. There are and will be leaders to come and re-invent what already is and was. It's what hip-hop is all about.

So you have any final words for our community and the prospects of hip hop?
Thanks for reading on your dude A.Pinks, Be on the lookout for my new single "Get What I want" and many other upcoming projects that I guarantee will not disappoint. Thankyou you and the readers.
